Eric Hallman has served as the Executive Director of the Piedmont Food Processing Center for over five years. His career path has taken him through a number of experiences and opportunities. Eric started as a research scientist which led to a job in scientific computing which led to the founding of a biotech company. The entrepreneurship bug begat multiple companies, some successful, others, not so much. Along the way Eric has taught science at a local university, rehabilitated houses, run a national non-profit and served as an elected official in Hillsborough, NC. Eric and his entrepreneur wife, Elizabeth and two hounds, live in downtown Hillsborough where you'll find him playing jazz trumpet while he keeps his day job.
