Jen Faigel

Jen Faigel is Executive Director of CommonWealth Kitchen, a Boston-based non-profit food business development centre on a mission to build a new food economy grounded in racial, social and economic justice. CWK’s programs include the operation of a shared-use kitchen combined with wrap-around business education programming, a separate small-batch food manufacturing enterprise, and coordinated access to a wide range of retail, wholesale, and institutional markets.

 

CWK was named “Best Community Catalyst” by Boston Magazine in 2021. Jen has been recognized by The Boston Globe as a nonprofit leader to watch. She is a Barr Foundation Fellow, a 2018 Wallace Foundation Regional Food Economies Fellow, a member of the Council of Development Finance Agencies’ Food Systems Finance Council, a Board member for the Association for Enterprise Opportunity, and was named one of Boston’s “2020 Power 50: Extraordinary Year- Extraordinary People,” by the Boston Business Journal.
